To help you with Homework #1, I created a couple of examples of matrix calculus equations and embedded them in Word documents. You can use these examples to create your own equations in Word 2007 (use this file) and in older versions of Word (use this file).
Here is the Exam 1 solution for the fall of 2005, as well as the Exam 1 study guide for the same semester. The average grade on Exam 1 in 2005 was 78. The average on Exam 2 in 2005 was 97.
